He told His disciples to have a boat ready for Him

Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the sea, and a great multitude from Galilee followed; also from Judea and Jerusalem and Idume'a and from beyond the Jordan and from about Tyre and Sidon a great multitude, hearing all that he did, came to him.

And he told his disciples to have a boat ready for him because of the crowd, lest they should crush him; for he had healed many, so that all who had diseases pressed upon him to touch him.

And whenever the unclean spirits beheld him, they fell down before him and cried out, "You are the Son of God." And he strictly ordered them not to make him known (Mark 3: 7 - 12).

Reflection:
When the going gets rough, do you have any fall back options?

In any work, process, or activity, there must always be a Plan "A" and a Plan "B". The objective of Plan A is geared towards the successful achievement of the task while Plan B focuses on safety and security.

Jesus became an instant celebrity after His healing powers spread across thre regions. He knew that He needs a "get away car" in case the crowd becomes unruly so He told His disciples to have a boat ready for Him. Although He can just invoke His divine powers to shield Himself from any harm, He allowed the natural course of action and reaction to be in motion so that people will learn on how to deal with them.

God allows risks to occur in our lives so that He can equip us with the needed things to ensure safety and security.

Prayer
Father in heaven, in you I take refuge and strength. I can never change or alter the natural course of life when it comes to the occurrence of risks, but I can rely on your word that you will always protect me by way of providing for all the things I need in order to be safe and secured. I claim these words of yours by asking for a new vehicle that can safely transport us to any destination, most especially on places where you want us to minister to the needs of your people for the praise and glory of your Name. All these, I humbly ask and pray, in Jesus Name. Amen.
